The airport Saint-Etienne-Boutheon ( French Aéroport de Saint-Etienne-Loire ), IATA code EBU , ICAO code LFMH is a French airport in the department of Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes , approximately twelve kilometers northwest of Saint -Etienne .

In 1962 the airport opened under the name Saint-Étienne-Bouthéon , as it was located in the French commune of Bouthéon . The airport is also known as Saint-Étienne-Loire . The destinations that were flown to were Fes (Morocco) , Porto (Portugal) , Istanbul (Turkey) and Oran (Algeria) . As the airport suffered heavy losses due to competition from Lyon, commercial operations were suspended again in October 2017.
