The Bergerac Airport ( IATA code EGC , ICAO code LFBE ) is located in the French commune Bergerac in the Dordogne . The airport is operated by the IHK Dordogne. It is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

After the occupation of France by the German Wehrmacht in 1940, the airfield was temporarily used by the air force. Between August 1943 and February 1944, the 3rd squadron of Jagdgruppe Ost lay here , equipped with Bf 109F / G and Fw 190A .

Flight connections

In 2013, the airport will not be served directly from German-speaking countries. Flybe flies to Southampton , Ryanair to London-Stansted , Twin Jet to Paris-Orly , Transavia to Rotterdam .
