The Albert-Picardie Airport (alternatively Airport Albert-Bray , French Aéroport Albert-Picardie ; IATA code BYF , ICAO code LFAQ ) is an airport near the French town of Albert in the Somme department (region Hauts-de-France in Northeastern France). The airport is 4 km southeast of Albert, in Bray-sur-Somme .

Its main function is to transport Airbus aircraft components that are manufactured in the nearby Airbus production facility in Méaulte . The airport runway is long enough to use the Beluga aircraft used by Airbus for this purpose .

The airport is also home to a flying club that operates a number of small aircraft from here.

The British low-cost airline Jet2.com announced flights to Albert-Picardie Airport for 2009, but these were canceled before the connection was started. In January 2012, plans for a connection to Blackpool through Danish Air Transport were announced. These flights were also canceled before the admission. Binair has been operating a weekday route to Toulouse since 2013 .

Facilities

The airport is at a height of 111 m. It has an asphalt runway (09/27) 2200 m long and 45 m wide as well as a parallel grass runway 1000 m long and 80 m wide. Public parking, taxis and rental car companies are available.
