Sibculo Monastery was a Cistercian monastery in what is now the Dutch municipality of Hardenberg .
The monastery was founded in 1412 as a subsidiary of the Kamp monastery. The heyday of the facility ended as early as the 16th century: under the growing influence of the Reformation , the monks had to leave their monastery in 1580. The important library first came to the Frenswegen monastery and later to Strasbourg . Before 1600 troops of the States General razed the Sibculo monastery to the ground. After excavations, only the remains of the facilities can be seen today, only the well has been reconstructed.
