Knut Anders Fostervold (born October 4, 1971 ) is a Norwegian racing cyclist and former football player .

Knut Anders Fostervold began his sporting career as a football player. From 1994 to 2002 he played for the Norwegian club Molde FK , except for a few months in 2000/2001, during which he was loaned to the English club Grimsby Town . With Fostervold in defense, Molde won the cup in 1994 and qualified for the Champions League in 1999 .

Due to a serious knee injury, Fostervold had to give up football in 2002 and started cycling. In 2005 and 2006 he was third in the Norwegian championship in the individual time trial . In 2007 he won two national titles: in the team time trial together with Kurt Asle Arvesen and Mikael Brunsvik and in the single pursuit on the track . In 2008 he was runner-up in the team time trial and in the single pursuit as well as third in the individual time trial. In 2005 he was nominated for the mountain bike marathon world championships , but did not start, and in 2006 he started in the individual time trial at the road cycling world championships in Salzburg , where he finished 43rd.

Fostervold runs a training academy together with Kurt Asle Arvesen (as of 2013). Fostervold now trains for triathlon himself, but continues to contest criteria in his home country.
