Knut Bellinger

Knut Urban Bellinger (born February 20, 1930 in Oberhausen ) is a German entrepreneur .

Live and act

Bellinger spent his youth on manors in West Prussia and the Magdeburg Börde . The family fled the Soviet-occupied zone after the Second World War and had lived in Cologne since 1952 . There he studied business administration and was awarded a Dr. rer. pole. PhD . After completing his studies, he did an internship at Deutsche Bank and then worked in an auditing office. In 1958 he became assistant to the executive board in sales at Ford .

Bellinger joined his father-in-law's clothing company in 1960. In 1962 he took over the management, which he held until the company was sold in 1984. In 1962 he became Vice President of the Federal Association of Wholesalers and Retailers, Vice President of the Textile Industry and Vice President of the Cologne Chamber of Commerce and Industry .

Bellinger is also a hunter . Since the 1950s he has made about 100 hunting trips to almost all parts of the world and has also published on this topic.

Bellinger married Marga Dyckhoff in 1957, daughter of the Cologne department store owner Joseph Dyckhoff. The marriage ended in divorce. He is the father of three daughters and three sons.
