Müller made his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup on January 12, 1991 . In Oberhof he reached 49th place. At the end of the 1990/91 season , he jumped again in Trondheim and Oslo , but again missed the jump into the points. A short time later he won the silver medal as a member of Team Akershus at the Norwegian Championship in Rognan in 1991 . The year 1992 he started with a 23rd place in the World Cup jumping in Predazzo . In the following competitions he could only reach the back positions. At the Junior World Championships in 1993 in Vuokatti , he won the silver medal in a team competition with Lasse Ottesen , Bengt Heiestad and Jørgen Halvorsen . In the World Cup competitions after the Junior World Championship, he again clearly missed the points. At the Norwegian Championship in Lillehammer in 1993 , he won the team competition title together with Espen Bredesen , Øyvind Berg and Lasse Ottesen. In the World Cup he was never able to win points successfully. From 1994 he began to compete in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup , where he reached 13th place with 436 points in his first season in 1994/95 . At the season's final competition in the World Cup in Sapporo , he achieved 32nd place, only a very close placement outside of the points, since for the 1994/95 season the FIS regulations for World Cup points apply to all placements within the top 30 instead of the top 15 was changed. It was his last World Cup competition. After the season he ended his active career.
