The Kobelberg in the municipality of Wiesenfelden in the Bavarian Forest is a fully wooded mountain range in north-south orientation. It is located south of the district of Schiederhof between the headwaters of the Großer Leitenbach in the east and the Breimbach in the west. The three individual peaks have heights of 692  m , 698.3  m and 703  m .

According to a potential analysis published in 2014, Kobelberg is one of 17 possible top locations for pumped storage plants in Bavaria. In the Straubing-Bogen district , the Pfarrerberg and the Hadriwa are also included in these particularly suitable locations for pumped storage plants.
