Harold Nelson
Harold Nelson ( William Harold "Harry" Nelson; born April 26, 1923 , † July 1, 2011 in Nelson ) was a New Zealand long-distance runner .
At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 he was eliminated over 5000 m in the run and did not reach the goal over 10,000 m .
In 1950 he won the British Empire Games in Auckland over six miles and won silver over three miles.
Twice he was New Zealand champion over three miles (1947, 1948), once over six miles (1948) and twice in cross country (1946, 1951).
