from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The pastor dynasty Koch , whose first representative, Jakob Koch from Ortenburg near Passau , settled in Upper Austria after the issuing of the tolerance patent by Emperor Joseps II , provided the pastors of the Protestant community of Wallern an der Trattnach without interruption from 1782 to 1936 . Members of this family also worked as pastors in the tolerance communities of Gmunden , Linz , Scharten , Attersee and Ramsau am Dachstein . The Koch family provided three superintendents and one senior in the Evangelical Superintendentary AB Upper Austria . In addition, the gender had a decisive influence on the fate of the Evangelical Church in Upper Austria. A family member was the rector of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna .

The Koch family was closely connected to the Wehrenfennig family of theologians .
