The Kohlbach is a right tributary of the Erf in the Geo-Naturpark Bergstrasse-Odenwald in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria .

The Kohlbach rises in Baden-Württemberg at the Laukenhof belonging to the city of Freudenberg . It soon flows through the forest to the southeast, then turns at a clearing in the Winnengrund for a longer west-south-west run across the state border to Bavaria. Opposite the Eichenbühl sewage treatment plant , it flows into the Erf .
