Local elections in Burscheid
The local elections in Burscheid take place every five years. The district town of Burscheid is part of the Rheinisch-Bergisch district .

At the local elections in 2009 were four parties , two groups of voters and a single applicant. The alliance ran for Burscheid for the first time . The city council was increased by 10 seats to 42 seats through compensation mandates. The CDU became the strongest faction. Stefan Caplan (CDU) became mayor.
In the 2014 local elections, the 32 representatives of the council will be elected. The urban area was divided into 16 electoral districts. The mayoral candidates include Stefan Caplan (CDU), Michael Baggeler (BfB) and Robby Simon (Die Linke).
