Overath

The local elections in Overath are held every five years. The district town of Overath is part of the Rheinisch-Bergisch district .

history

In the local elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2009 , the CDU was the strongest parliamentary group in the Overath Council. The turnout was 59.0%.

Five associations, namely CDU, SPD, FDP, Greens, Bürger für Overath (BfO) , ran for the city ​​council in the 2014 local elections .

Candidates for mayor in 2014 were: incumbent Andreas Heider (CDU), Jörg Weigt (SPD) and Wolfgang Krämer (BfO). A runoff election will take place on June 15, 2014 between Weigt and Heider.
