District elections in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis
The district elections in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis were last held in 2014 and were carried out as part of the 2014 municipal elections in North Rhine-Westphalia on May 25, 2014. The Rheinisch-Bergische Kreis is a district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It was founded on October 1, 1932. The RBK 2020 strategy concept is the current model.

The CDU , SPD , FDP , Bündnis90 / Die Grünen , KIDitiative , UWG / BfB, Die Linke und Bürgerbewegung pro NRW (Pro NRW) took part in the local council elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2009 .
In the 2009 elections, there was a turnout of 58.6%. 229,132 people were eligible to vote. The CDU was the strongest parliamentary group. The FDP formed a parliamentary group with the BürgerForum . The former representative of ProNRW has been non-party since 2010. The individual applicants Hungenberg and Przybylski and the electoral lists BWL (Leichlingen) and KTW did not receive a seat.
In the municipal elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2014 , 12 associations are running for the election of the district assembly: CDU, SPD, Greens, FDP, Die Linke, Bürgerforum Wermelskirchen (four electoral districts), Free Voters Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis , Democracy for 14, Citizens List Witzhelden / Leichlingen , Citizens' Party GL, Alternative for Germany , Alliance for Burscheid (two electoral districts). There are 28 constituencies in total.
The district administrator, currently Hermann-Josef Tebroke (CDU), is elected until 2017.
