Kongsberg IF (Norwegian Kongsberg Idrettsforening , KIF for short ) is a sports club from the Norwegian Kongsberg .

The club was founded on January 26th, 1899 and has focused on winter sports from the start . Today, however, there is also a successful football department whose 1st men's team plays in the 3rd Norwegian league and whose 1st women's team plays in the 2nd Norwegian league. The club also has a gymnastics and athletics department .

However, the most successful department of the club is winter sports. The successful ski jumpers Sigmund Ruud , Birger Ruud , Asbjørn Ruud , Hans Beck , Hilmar Myhra (also football), Petter Hugsted , Arnholdt Kongsgård and Daniel-André Tande emerged from the club. In snowboarding, Stine Brun Kjeldaas is a successful representative of the club with an Olympic silver medal as well as one silver and two bronze medals at world championships.
