Alf Petter Hugsted (born July 11, 1921 in Kongsberg ; † May 19, 2000 there ) was a Norwegian ski jumper .

During the German occupation of Norway, Hugsted was imprisoned in the Grini fangeleir . After his release he was able to practice his sport again and won the gold medal at the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz ahead of his club mate Birger Ruud . Since the Nordic World Ski Championships were held this year as part of the Olympic Games, Hugsted was also world champion with his Olympic victory.

In 1948 he was also second in jumping on the Holmenkollbakken . In the same year he was named Sportsman of the Year .

Hugsted was also successful as a football player and has since been appointed to the Norwegian B national team.

After the end of his career he built the Kongsberg Ski Museum together with his friend Birger Ruud .

In Kongsberg the Petter Hugsteds vei ( Eng . Petter-Hugsted-Weg) is named after him.
