Konrad Kellen
Konrad Kellen (actually Konrad Moritz Adolf Katzenellenbogen ; born December 14, 1913 in Berlin-Tiergarten ; † April 8, 2007 in Pacific Palisades ) was a German-American political scientist.
Born as the son of the industrialist Ludwig Katzenellenbogen , Kellen studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . After his emigration in 1933, he worked from 1941 to 1943 as Thomas Mann's private secretary. During the Second World War he took part in the war as an American officer in psychological warfare , after the war he was an occupation officer in Germany as part of the denazification process . He later returned to the United States and worked as a political scientist at the Rand Corporation .
