Konrad Schmid (Abbot)
Konrad Schmid SOCist (* 1510 in Überlingen on Lake Constance; † June 5, 1558 in Heiligenkreuz ) was an Austrian Cistercian and abbot of the Heiligenkreuz Abbey .
Life
(Konrad Schmid Faber called) came under his uncle , the abbot Johann V. Hartmann, in 1534 the novitiate one was from 1537 to 1540 Prior and was 1540 to Wiener Neustadt into Neukloster postulated as abbot. After a seven-year term in office, the confreres from the Heiligenkreuz convent called him back to his home monastery in the same capacity in 1547.
