Konrad diver
Konrad Johann Taucher (born October 24, 1873 in Nuremberg ; † January 13, 1950 in Karlsruhe ) was a German sculptor .
After attending secondary school in Nuremberg, he studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Nuremberg under Hans Rössner from 1890 to 1892 , followed by training in Paul Stotz's ore foundry in Stuttgart from 1892 to 1895 . After completing his military service, he worked in the studio of the sculptor Karl Scharrath in Stuttgart in 1898/99 . From 1902 to 1905 he studied at the Karlsruhe Art Academy , where he was a master student of Hermann Volz . He then worked as a freelance sculptor in Karlsruhe.
He created fountains in Karlsruhe, Freiburg im Breisgau (Schneckenreiterbrunnen in Colombipark , 1906) and Achern and the statue of Grand Duchess Stephanie , which is a copy on the Stephanienufer in Mannheim .
