Konrad Wilhelm Polthier

Konrad Wilhelm Polthier (born November 2, 1930 in Berlin-Dahlem ; † 2016 ) was a German author and editor of specialist literature on security technology and fire protection .

Polthier attended elementary school and high school in Berlin-Zehlendorf up to high school. He then worked as a miner and mining enthusiast in coal mining in Dortmund-Bövinghausen and in Herten and in salt mining near Bad Salzdetfurth . He then completed his mining studies at the Technical University of Berlin , graduated as a graduate engineer and later became fire director and construction director at the Berlin fire brigade .

Among other things, he worked as a lecturer on fire and explosion protection at the technical colleges and technical college in Wildau , as a member of technical standards and expert committees as well as in working groups and as an expert in examination committees. He is known as an author , editor and co-editor of specialist literature on security technology and fire protection .
