Konstantin Jurjewitsch Klimow ( Russian Константин Юрьевич Климов ; born April 30, 1951 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ; † January 8, 1982 ibid) was a Soviet ice hockey player .

Career

Klimov began his career in 1967 at HK Spartak Moscow . Between 1973 and 1976 he played with Krylya Sowetow Moscow . Klimov spent the 1976/77 season at SKA Leningrad before returning to Krylya.

He won the Soviet championship in 1974 , followed by the runner-up in 1975.

Konstantin Klimow died on January 8, 1982 in a car accident. He was buried in the Kuzminskoye Cemetery in Moscow.

International

In 1969 and 1970 he took part with the Soviet U19 national team in an international tournament, which is considered the unofficial first junior European championship. In 1974, Klimow was on the ice for the Sbornaja as part of the 1974 Summit Series against Canada .
