Konstantin Kohler

Konstantin Kohler (born December 2, 1939 in Mindelheim ) is a German Roman Catholic clergyman and was Vicar General of the Diocese of Augsburg from 1993 to 2003 .

Life

The Kohler, who grew up in Kirchdorf , studied theology and philosophy at the university in Dillingen . Konstantin Kohler received on June 29 in 1967 by Josef Stimpfle in Marienmünster Dießen the priesthood and was subsequently first chaplain at St. Lawrence Church and Prefect of the study seminar St. Magnus in Kempten (Allgäu) . In 1975 he was elected regional dean of the new Memmingen region. Two years later he became pastor in Mattsies and in 1980 also vicar of Zaisertshofen . After Wilhelm Hummel's death in 1984, Kohler became director of the Regens-Wagner-Stiftungen in Dillingen until he was replaced by Hans Frieß in 1993. In 1995, Josef Grünwald replaced Kohler as first chairwoman of the Caritas Association for the Diocese of Augsburg, who in turn replaced Rudolf Schmid in 1994 . In 1993, Bishop Viktor Josef Dammertz appointed Kohler vicar general of the diocese of Augsburg. In the same year he was accepted into the Augsburg cathedral chapter . His successor was Josef Heigl in 2003 and Kohler became dean of the cathedral . He served as deputy vicar general until 2004 and was a member of the Augsburg cathedral chapter until 2009. He is the head of the Institute for Training and Supervision (Katharina von Siena House). From 1993 to 2003 he was a member of the priestly and pastoral council of the diocese, chairman of the commission for personnel matters, member of the advisory board and chairman of the examination commission of the episcopal academy in Neuburg, member of the supervisory board of Seitz- und Auer Verlag GmbH and St. Ulrich Verlags GmbH , Chairman of the “Catholic Daycare for Children” commission and Chairman of the City-Seelsorge Board of Trustees, member of the diocesan tax committee and member of the respective examination commissions and since 2002 representative of the permanent diaconate.
