Josef Heigl (born August 17, 1953 in Großaitingen ; † February 3, 2013 in Augsburg ) was a German clergyman and from 2000 until his death cathedral capitular in the diocese of Augsburg .

Life

After the primary school years in Großaitingen and Augsburg, Josef Heigl attended grammar school and boarding school in the Benedictine Abbey of St. Ottilien from 1965 to 1974 . He then completed his military service. In 1975 he entered the seminary of the diocese of Augsburg. The diaconate internship in 1980 led Heigl to the parish "To the Eight Bliss" in Füssen . After his ordination in 1981 in the High Cathedral of Augsburg and his primacy in the parish of St. Ulrich and Afra in Augsburg, he was chaplain in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm until 1984 .

In 1984 Heigl became secretary to the vicar general . From 1990 to 1994 he was also deputy personnel officer for priests in the diocese of Augsburg. From 1995 to 2003 Heigl held the task of deputy vicar general. Heigl died surprisingly on February 3, 2013 at the age of 59.
