Konstantin Wladimirowitsch Gorowikow ( Russian Константин Владимирович Горовиков ; born August 31, 1977 in Novosibirsk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player .
Career
Konstantin Gorowikow began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of the SKA Saint Petersburg , for whose professional team he was active from 1994 to 1996 in the International Hockey League and then for three years in the Russian Super League . He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 1999 in the ninth round as a total of 269th player by the Ottawa Senators . From 1999 to 2001, however, the center played exclusively for their farm team Grand Rapids Griffins in the International Hockey League . From 2001 to 2003 he was again in the Russian Super League on the ice, but this time for Salawat Julajew Ufa . Until 2007 he also played for Severstal Tscherepowez , his ex-club SKA Saint Petersburg and HK Avangard Omsk in the super league. He then ran again for the SKA Saint Petersburg, with whom he played on the ice from 2008 to 2010 in the newly founded Continental Hockey League .
For the 2010/11 season Gorovikov was signed by OHK Dynamo , for whom he played until 2017.
International
For Russia , Gorovikov took part in the 2006 , 2008 , 2009 and 2011 World Championships . At the 2008 and 2009 World Championships, he and his team won the gold medal. In 2003, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 he was also in his country's squad for the Euro Hockey Tour .
