In 1994 Tobias Messias left the band and the first demo version of Einheitsstep was released.

In 1995 Falko Heinbokel joined the band, which is still a member today. Likewise, the music album EKM was published as tape and compact disc in self-distribution. Their live debut took place in October in the “Spot” disco in Kassel .

In 1997 the rare audio tape Da laughs the black coral ... was published.

In 1998 a "best of" tape was released with the name Tod ... I think it's good! . Due to their success, they were among other things opening act for Funker Vogt from Hameln and Joachim Witt . The increasing popularity helped them to get some interviews in reputable magazines. This year the members also devoted themselves to various other projects.

1999 ISECS : The band changed their name to “Contrast”. Under this name they played their first concert in May as a support act for Clan of Xymox . On the music label MyraMusic the maxi-CD from Einheitsstep was supposed to appear, but it was withdrawn shortly before the release. Only a few promo copies came into circulation.

In 2000 there were some well-attended concerts with artists such as Psyche and Welle: Erdball , otherwise the work on the album Klang der Zukunft came first.

In 2001 Holger Heinrich decided to leave the band. It was separated from the MyraMusic label .

2002 was the year of its tenth anniversary. This year contrast played with bands like KiEw , the Crüxshadows and the band Untoten from Berlin . The play of death ... I think it's good! was released as a relaunch on a compilation. The album Contrast: Program was released under the label UpSolution and it was followed by nationwide release parties, followed by interviews with magazines known in the black scene . In this year Nebelgeist was represented as a guest singer for the first time.

In 2003 the maxi CD was released Promised? , accompanied by many concerts together with Nebelgeist, including in Switzerland .

Another album followed in 2004 with the name Industrie <> Romantik , again on the UpSolution label.

In 2006 Lexi, who had previously been very closely involved as a consultant, web designer, stage technician and producer, became a permanent member of the band.

In 2007 the CD-Maxi 80s was published in self-distribution. On October 24, 2008, the third contrast album Vision and Tradition was released on the Danse Macabre-Records label. Nebelgeist had meanwhile become a permanent member of the band, while Lexi was no longer there. In October 2014 the download single John Maynard was released , a setting of the ballad of the same name by Theodor Fontane , and the fourth album Balance , again on Danse Macabre Records.
