The Koppány is a river in the southwestern part of Hungary . It is one of the right tributaries of the Kapos .

course

The source of the river is located about two kilometers west of Karád Municipality in Fonyód County in the northern part of Somogy County . It initially runs south through Fiad and changes its course north of Kisbárapáti to the east, past the communities Somogyacsa, Szorosad , Törökkoppány, Koppányszántó , Nagykónyi and Pári . Then it leads through the southern part of the city of Tamási . Two kilometers east of Regöly the river flows into the Kapos. Thus it is located in two counties in Hungary: Somogy county and Tolna county .

The river has a length of about 75 kilometers.
