The Koritnik ( Albanian also Koritniku , Serbian - Cyrillic Коритник ) is a mountain on the border of Albania and Kosovo between Kukës and Prizren . It is a northwestern branch of the Šar Planina mountain system on the southern bank of the White Drin and to the northern end of the Korab Mountains . In the Maja e Pikëllimës , the mountain reaches its highest point at 2393 meters - it is the tenth highest mountain in Kosovo .
The mountain is quite isolated and is surrounded on all sides by deep river valleys. In the north, beyond the White Drin, which is dammed up to form the Fierza reservoir, lies the Pashtrik mountain range . To the southwest rises the 2,489 meter high Gjallica , the highest mountain in the region. The two mountains are separated by the Gryka e Vanave gorge, through which the Luma flows.
