Kornharpen is a part of the Harpen district in the Bochum-Nord district of Bochum . It is south of Kirchharpen .

history

The peasantry Kornharpen belonged to the parish Harpen in the Oberamt of Bochum .

In 1929 the soccer club Vorwärts Kornharpen was founded (the successor is FC Vorwärts Kornharpen 2009 ). The Ruhr Park was opened in 1964. The Kornharpen central landfill was put into operation in 1978.
