Korporata Elektroenergjitike Shqiptare Sh.a. (Abbreviation KESH Sh.a. or just KESH ) is the name of the state-owned electricity company in Albania and the only company of its kind in the country.

Operatori i sistemit të shpërndarjes Sh.a. ( OSSH Sh.a. for short ) is a subsidiary of KESH and is familiar with the task of power distribution. It was privatized on March 30, 2009 . The Czech company ČEZ now holds 76 percent of the company's shares. OSSH Sh.a. was then in CEZ Shpërndarje Sh.a. renamed. It currently supplies around 997,000 customers with electricity and generates annual income of around 200 million euros.

Power plants

KESH is the owner of the three power plants on the Drin : Vau-Deja hydropower plant (partial commissioning 1970; 250 MW), Koman hydropower plant (1988; 600 MW) and Fierza hydropower plant (1978; 500 MW). Moreover, it is KESH operator of the thermal power plant in Vlora ( TEC Vlora ; 2011; 97 MW).
