Kosbrunn
Kosbrunn is a place in Franconian Switzerland and belongs to the city of Pegnitz . In 1987 the place had 44 inhabitants.

The village is about five kilometers from Pegnitz and Pottenstein and lies at the foot of the highest mountain in Franconian Switzerland, the Kleiner Kulm (624 m).
history
The former Wartberg Castle stood about 160 meters above the town of Kosbrunn at an altitude of 608 meters on a wooded dolomite cliff on the Warenberg. In 1829 the place had 57 inhabitants. The geographical description of the Archdiocese of Bamberg from 1833 names Kosbrunn as a "hamlet at the foot of a mountain on which the ruins of Wernberg Castle can be seen, with 11 houses and 68 S (eelen)" The hamlet belonged to the municipality of Büchenbach and was incorporated with her on July 1, 1972 in the city of Pegnitz. In 2010 the town center was renovated for around 500,000 euros, the playground was remodeled and the old freezer house was replaced by a village community center. The village cross was moved and the chapel renovated.
