The Koshwa ( Russian Ко́жва, Большая Ко́жва ( Bolschaja Koschwa, Große Koschwa), Ковжа (Kowscha)) is a left tributary of the Pechora in the Komi Republic in northwestern Russia .

The Koshwa arises at the confluence of its source rivers Chornaya Koschwa (Black Koschwa) and Belaja Koschwa (White Koschwa). It flows through a boreal forest landscape in a predominantly east-northeast direction. Its main tributaries are the Lusa from the left and the Tschikschina from the right. After 194 km it reaches the Pechora river west of the town of Pechora. The total length of the river including the right source river Belaya Koshwa is 221 km. The Koschwa drains an area of 9560 km². The Koschwa is ice-covered between late October / early November to late April / mid-May. The spring flood during the melting of the snow contributes significantly to the annual runoff. South of the mouth of the Koschwa is the settlement of the same name Koschwa .
