The Koswa ( Russian Ко́сьва ) is a left tributary of the Kama in the Perm region and in the Sverdlovsk Oblast .
It rises south of the Koswinski Kamen in the Middle Urals in the Sverdlovsk Oblast. It flows first in a northerly direction through the Urals. Above the mouth of the Typil, the river is also called Bolshaya Koswa ("Great Koswa"). Then the Koswa turns south, later it leaves the Urals in a south-westerly direction. It flows through the Shirokovskoye reservoir and the city of Gubacha . It continues its course in a westerly direction and after 283 km reaches an eastern bay of the Kama reservoir . The Koswa drains an area of 6300 km². The Koswa is covered with ice between November and the end of April. The mean discharge 11 km above the mouth is 90 m³ / s.
