Kruger Mühlgraben
Krügers Mühlgraben ( Lower Sorbian Krygaŕski Fryjarka ) near Schipkau in Niederlausitz was a partly artificial inlet to the Krügers Mühle and a connecting canal from the Pößnitz (then still Pößnitzwasser ) to the Pößnitzbach, which was captured by the opencast mine . A natural brook was connected to this canal, the original source of which was on the old Schipkau Galgenberg in a pond area directly next to the former outdoor pool. With the Anna-Süd opencast mine , the Galgenberg, the Pößnitzbach and the surrounding pond area have disappeared, the Krügers Mühlgraben degenerated into a barely discernible trickle. Its source is now on today's Gallows Mountains . With its course it marks the southern border of Schipkau and was once also the border marker between the Saxon office of Großenhain and the later Prussian office of Senftenberg . At the Krügers Mühle, the remaining part of the canal and the stream flow into each other and a few meters further into the Pößnitz.
