Kruger Week was a weekly sitcom from 2007 that was about the editorial action before a fictional late night show (also called Kruger Week ). With the start of the late night show on the sitcom, the sitcom regularly ended. In each episode, a different German celebrity was invited as a guest, who played a small supporting role.

The show had similarities to the US comedy series The Larry Sanders Show , which also plays behind the scenes of a late-night show, as well as the comedy series Anke , in which everyday editorial work (but a talk show) was shown. The specialty of Kruger Week was on the one hand the recording in front of an audience, on the other hand this recording was only made on the previous Sunday evening so that current events could be integrated into the broadcast relatively promptly.

Characters

Mike Krüger has been doing a late night show for ten years and is supported in the preparations by his much younger colleagues. His colleagues are not particularly fond of his old successes or wanting to sing.

  • Mike Krüger : presenter of his late night show named after him and editor-in-chief
  • Peter Rütten : Chief gag writer of the show, Running Gag : to his question: "Have I ever disappointed you Mike?" he always replies "Multiple!"
  • Frank Streffing : With Peter Gagschreiber of the show, but more sensitive and often more sensitive to sensitive topics; Mike impersonator
  • Tina Seydel : Responsible editor of the show, who does not always agree with Mike
  • Kirstin Hesse : Young editorial intern who has never heard of Mike's old successes (e.g. “Der Nippel”)
  • Tobias Licht : The show's gay makeup artist, with a good knowledge of the tabloids and a penchant for gossip and rumors
  • Helmut Zerlett : band leader of the show band
