Rüdiger Hoffmann (cabaret artist)
Rüdiger Hoffmann (born March 30, 1964 in Paderborn ) is a German cabaret artist and musician .
Life
Rüdiger Hoffmann grew up in Paderborn and attended the Reismann-Gymnasium there . While still at school he performed with several rock and theater groups, including a. together with Ralf Kabelka in a cabaret group called "Die Pappnasen". After graduating from high school, he began to study music for teaching. After dropping out of his studies, he performed at various smaller events for several years.
He became known in the early 1990s, among other things, through joint appearances with Jürgen Becker and in the Quatsch Comedy Club program on ProSieben . He was also one of the regulars on the comedy series RTL Saturday Night . On August 12, 1995, he appeared in the opening act for the Rolling Stones' Voodoo Lounge Tour at the Schüttorfer Open Air. In the comedy 7 dwarfs - men alone in the forest from 2004 he played the role of the magic mirror, as well as in the follow-up film from 2006, 7 dwarfs - the forest is not enough . Since 2004 Hoffmann has made a few appearances in the RTL comedy improvisation show Frei Schnauze .
His trademarks are a very slow and relaxed way of speaking, dry humor and the unmistakable opening sentence: “Yes, hello first! I don't even know if you knew, but… ”. Another trademark is a chair, but there are also appearances where it stands. Occasionally he accompanies himself on the piano.
In 2007 Hoffmann released his first purely musical album Sex oder Liebe . In addition to normal pop songs, he also played heavier rhythms. The song Testosteron is based heavily on the band Rammstein . In 2010 he performed at the Roncalli Circus, where he presented his program “The Best of 25 Years”, which was recorded and released on DVD.
Rüdiger Hoffmann has been married since 1998 and has had a son since 2007 and lives in Bonn.
