Ralf Kabelka (born December 4, 1964 in Paderborn ) is a German author and comedian . From March 16, 2000, he became known to a wide audience through his role as Dr. Udo Brömme known in the Harald Schmidt Show .

Life

Kabelka made his 1984 high school at Reismann Gymnasium Paderborn . Together with Rüdiger Hoffmann he was in a cabaret group called "Die Pappnasen". Kabelka worked for Harald Schmidt as a member of the editorial team and gag writer in Bonito TV Produktionsgesellschaft mbH until the end of the Harald Schmidt Show . After the show ended in December 2003, he first worked as a writer for the show What are you watching? on Sat.1 and also studied journalism , information science and theater studies at the Free University of Berlin . Since summer 2005 he has been working for Günther Jauch's production company I & U Information and Entertainment TV Produktion GmbH & Co. KG in Cologne, among other things as an author for the RTL show Hape meets! with Hape Kerkeling .

Kabelka wrote some stage programs together with Rüdiger Hoffmann, who also came from Paderborn, worked as a writer for DeutschlandRadio Berlin , for Thomas Koschwitz and as a scriptwriter for Switch reloaded .

For the show Schmidt & Pocher Kabelka was back in the team since 2007 and appeared in clips and on the show as “Udo Brömme” and “ Günterfrom Wallrafplatz . After the former sidekick Manuel Andrack left the team, Kabelka took over the post of editor-in-chief during the summer break of 2008.

From May 2009 to May 2012 he was editor-in-chief of the Harald Schmidt program at Bonito TV production company in Cologne.

In September 2012, Kabelka appeared for the first time in a single player of the heute show . In it he kidnapped the Swiss politician Erich Hess . He is also active as an author for the satirical program.

After a long absence, Dr. Udo Brömme made his comeback at Schmidt & Pocher on February 28, 2008 . In this program, the reason for the long break was also mentioned: After the wedding with the multi-million dollar brewery owner Ines Hackhuber, who was killed in a car accident, he had to "watch over the multi-million dollar inheritance".
