The Chita Daini power plant ( Japanese 知 多 第二 火力 発 電 所 , Chita daini karyoku hatsudensho , Eng . "Chita II thermal power plant") is a gas-fired power plant in Japan , which is located on the east side of the Ise Bay on an embankment in Chita ( Aichi prefecture ) is located. With an installed capacity of 1,708  MW , it ranks sixth among the fossil-fuel-fired power plants operated by the electricity supplier Chūbu Denryoku . It is located about three kilometers northeast of the Chita power plant .

Power plant units

The power plant consists of two blocks, each with a maximum output of 854  MW . The steam turbines went into operation in 1983 and 1984, respectively. At blocks 1994 and 1996 was repowering carried out by a gas turbine has been installed, respectively, whose waste heat is used for the steam turbine of the respective block. The following table gives an overview:

block machine Max. Power (MW) Start of operation turbine generator Steam boiler Type
1 1 700 09.1983 Toshiba Steam turbine (DT)
2 154 09.1994 Hitachi Hitachi Gas turbine (GT)
2 1 700 1984 Toshiba DT
2 154 07.1996 Toshiba IHI GT

fuel

The two units of the power plant use LNG as fuel. Around Ise Bay, there are other Chubu power plants ( Chita , Kawagoe , Shin-Nagoya and Yokkaichi ) that use LNG as fuel.
