Plant 1 consists of four gas turbines without a downstream steam turbine . Plant 2 consists of two gas turbines and a downstream steam turbine. A waste heat steam generator is connected to each of the two gas turbines ; the waste heat steam generator then supplies the steam turbine.
The two gas turbines in Plant 2 went into operation in 1984 and were originally oil-fired; In 1993 they were converted to run on natural gas .
