The power plant Momina Klisura is a hydroelectric power plant in Pazardzhik Province , Bulgaria . It has an installed capacity of 120 MW . The power plant uses the water from the Belmeken dam, 8 km away, to generate electricity. The village of Momina Klisura is half a kilometer east of the power plant.
The power plant is owned by Nazionalna elektritscheska kompanija EAD (NEK EAD) and is also operated by NEK EAD.

The power plant serves to cover the peak load . It has an installed capacity of 120 MW . The average annual production is 105 million kWh . The 2 Francis turbines have an output of 60 MW each.
The Momina Klisura power plant is the last in a series of three power plants that use the water from the Belmeken dam . The first is the Belmeken power plant , followed by the Sestrimo power plant . From there the water is forwarded to the Momina Klisura power plant after use. The drop height is 254.5 m and the maximum flow is a total of 56.6 m³ / s.
