The Port de Barcelona Power Plant ( Catalan Central tèrmica del Port de Barcelona , Spanish Central térmica del Puerto de Barcelona ) is a combined cycle power plant in the port of Barcelona , Catalonia , Spain . The installed capacity of the power plant is 800 (or 850) MW . It is owned by Naturgy and operated by Naturgy. Construction of the power plant began in 2008; it went into operation in 2011.
