The Qatalum power plant is a combined cycle power plant in Qatar , which is located in Mesaieed , al-Wakra municipality . It is owned by Qatalum and operated by Qatalum.

With an installed capacity of 1,350 MW , it ranks third among the most powerful power plants in Qatar. It is used to supply the Qatalum aluminum smelter located directly next to the power plant .

The order value for the power plant was $ 900 million and $ 1 billion, respectively . Doosan's stake is $ 500 million.
