The Lumut power plant complex consists of two combined cycle power plants in the state of Perak , Malaysia , which are located on the Strait of Malacca . The city of Lumut is about 10 km south of the power plant complex.

Power plant units

The power plant complex consists of the two neighboring power plants SEV (Annex 1 and 2) and GB3 (Annex 3). The following table gives an overview:

The three systems each consist of three gas turbines and a downstream steam turbine . A waste heat steam generator is connected to each of the gas turbines ; the waste heat steam generator then supplies the steam turbine.

Systems 1 and 2 are owned by Segari Energy Ventures Sdn Bhd (SEV). Plant 3 is owned by GB3 Sdn Bhd (GB3). The Malakoff Corporation Berhad (MCB) holds 93.75% of SEV and 75% of GB3. MMC Corporation Berhad holds 37.6% of MCB.
