The Telok Gong power plant complex consists of two power plants in the state of Malacca , Malaysia , which are located on the Strait of Malacca . The city of Malacca is located approximately 25 km southeast of the power plant complex.
The TGPS1 power plant is a gas turbine power plant . It is owned and operated by Powertek Berhad (PT) and is also operated by PT. The TGPS2 power plant is a combined cycle power plant . It is owned by Panglima Power Sdn Bhd. (PP) and is also operated by PP. Edra Power Holdings Sdn Bhd (Edra) holds 100% of both PT and PP. Edra is a subsidiary of the China General Nuclear Power Group .
Power plant units
The power plant complex consists of the two neighboring power plants TGPS1 (Appendix 1) and TGPS2 (Appendix 2). The following table gives an overview:

Plant 1 consists of four gas turbines without a downstream steam turbine . Plant 2 consists of two gas turbines and a downstream steam turbine. A waste heat steam generator is connected to each of the two gas turbines ; the waste heat steam generator then supplies the steam turbine.
