Collar Lum (born June 27, 1971 in Santa Monica ) is an American guitarist . Lum is a member of the bands Heathen and Prototype and previously played in Psychosis .

Career

Lum founded the Los Angeles- based thrash metal band Psychosis in 1988 , who released their first and only studio album Lifeforce in 1992. Two years later the band fell apart and Lum formed the progressive metal band Prototype together with singer Vince Levalois , with whom Lum released three studio albums. In the meantime he joined the thrash metal band Heathen in 2007, who released their comeback album The Evolution of Chaos in 2010 .

In 2011 Lum contributed guitar solos to two songs on the album Leveling the Plane of Existence by the band Absymal Dawn . In the summer of 2013, Kragen Lum helped the band Exodus on their European tour, as Exodus guitarist Gary Holt was also helping out with Slayer . In 2015 he again helped out with Exodus on the Dark Roots of Thrash Tour with Testament and the subsequent European tour.
