The Kranji Expressway (abbreviation: KJE, Chinese : 克兰 芝 高速公路; Pinyin : Kèlánzhī Gāosù Gōnglù; Tamil கிராஞ்சி விரைவுச்சாலை ; Malay Lebuhraya Kranji ) is a highway in Singapore . It connects the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) at Bukit Panjang and then runs southwest to the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) at Jurong West. Construction of the expressway began in 1990 and was completed in 1994. The Kranji Expressway is about 8 kilometers long and the shortest expressway in Singapore.
