Krasnołęg is located south of the Warta , 16 kilometers north of Sulęcin (Zielenzig) and 22 kilometers southwest of Gorzów (Landsberg / Warthe). It is located in the historical territory of Neumark in Brandenburg.
history
In 1771 the place was founded as the first new colonist village in the partially drained Warthebruch in the area of the Order of St. John . Its master, Prince Ferdinand of Prussia , younger brother of King Frederick the Great , played a key role in this. The place name Beaulieu , French for "beautiful place", was possibly chosen because of the location. As early as Trinity 1774, 50 colonist families paid their first taxes. A church was built from 1782 to 1785. 1915 Beaulieu got a train station on the route from Küstrin to Hammer .
In 1945 the place came to Poland. In 1992, passenger rail traffic was discontinued.
