history

At times Kreimbach belonged to the Electoral Palatinate . From 1798 to 1814, when the Palatinate was part of the French Republic (until 1804) and then part of the Napoleonic Empire , Kreimbach was incorporated into the canton of Wolfstein . Then the place changed to the Kingdom of Bavaria . From 1818 to 1862 he was a member of the Kusel Land Commissioner ; from this the district office Kusel emerged. In 1928 Kreimbach had 526 inhabitants who lived in 115 residential buildings. The Catholics belonged to the parish of Wolfstein at the time , while the Protestants belonged to that of Rothselberg . From 1938 the place was part of the district of Kusel . After the Second World War , Kreimbach became part of the then newly formed state of Rhineland-Palatinate within the French occupation zone . In the course of the first Rhineland-Palatinate administrative reform on June 7, 1969, Kreimbach was merged with the neighboring community of Kaulbach to form the new local community of Kreimbach-Kaulbach .
