history

The Kreissparkasse Böblingen emerged from four independent institutes in the course of time: In 1828 the Industrieverein Sindelfingen founded a private savings bank, which was merged into the Städtische Sparkasse Sindelfingen in 1905. In 1847 the Oberamts-Spar- und Hülfsleihkasse Herrenberg was founded , which in 1909 became the Oberamtssparkasse. In 1882 and 1905 the Oberamtssparkassen Leonberg and Böblingen were founded.

After the Böblingen and Sindelfingen savings banks merged to form Kreissparkasse Böblingen in 1934, the Oberamtssparkasse Herrenberg was added in 1938. In the course of the district reform in Baden-Württemberg, the district savings banks Leonberg and Böblingen merged in 1974 to form today's Kreissparkasse Böblingen.
