history

The first business day of the newly established Oberamtssparkasse in Vaihingen was October 1st, 1879. It was an institution of the administration of the Oberamtssparkasse Vaihingen . The first business premises were in the Wilder Mann Inn on Heilbronner Strasse.

After the banking crisis of 1932, the savings banks in Germany were spun off from local government. The Oberamtssparkasse Vaihingen thus became an institution under public law . It was renamed Kreissparkasse Vaihingen in 1934. With the administrative reform in Württemberg in 1938, the former Oberamt Maulbronn was added to the district of Vaihingen . Accordingly, the branches of the former Oberamtssparkasse Maulbronn and also some branches of the former Oberamtssparkasse Brackenheim became part of the Kreissparkasse Vaihingen. In the course of district reform, the Kreissparkasse Vaihingen went on January 1, 1974 in the Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg. However, some branches in the newly founded Enzkreis went to the Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Pforzheim .
