The Kreppa is a glacial river in the Icelandic highlands .

geography

The river rises on the northern edge of Vatnajökull near Brúarjökull and has a length of 60 km. East of Hvannalindir the Kreppa flows through a wide, deep valley and then flows as a right tributary into the Jökulsá á Fjöllum .

traffic

Near the Herðubreið , north of the Upptyppingar, the Austurleið leads LF910 over the Kreppa. Since the river has a very strong current, it is difficult to cross it away from the bridge.
